Jason has a long history of commitment, perseverance, and success as an athlete, coach and mentor. 

Jason Perkins founded Hoopology in 2002 after playing collegiate basketball.  Jason has a long history of commitment, perseverance, and success as an athlete, coach and mentor. A Graduate of Banning High School in Wilmington, CA where he was All-LA City 4A his senior year, earned a collegiate scholarship at the University of California, Riverside, where he played Division 1 basketball and also earned his B.S. Degree in Business Administration.  

Jason worked 3 years with the NBA Champions - Golden State Warriors as a Youth Basketball Manager and Camp Director and has worked with over 12,000 kids in the Bay Area. In addition Jason has worked in camps and clinics with Magic Johnson, Steph Curry, Shaquille O’Neal, Paul Pierce, Coach K and Duke Basketball, and Navy Midshipman to name a few.  Coach Jason also served as the Director of Youth Basketball Skill Development at 24 Hour Fitness in 2007, National Director of Team Sports and Youth Fitness at 24 Hour Fitness 2008 – 2011 where worked with kids across the country.  

Coach Jason is still employed with the Golden State Warriors and also works on numerous Jr. NBA youth basketball initiatives but spends the majority of his time in San Diego.  Jason’s passion and mentorship of youth led him to open up the first ever and only year round skill development basketball training facility in San Diego where he now resides with his wife and 3 kids.  Perseverance is the one characteristic that describes Jason as an individual and has motivated him to achieve many goals.
